A BILL to amend article two-a, chapter seventeen of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
eight-d, relating to requiring the commissioner of highways to
provide equipment for snow removal in school bus turn around
areas in the various counties of the state.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That article two-a, chapter seventeen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated eight-d, to
read as follows:
ARTICLE 2A. WEST VIRGINIA COMMISSIONER OF HIGHWAYS.
§17-2A-8d. Authority to provide snow removal at school bus turn
around areas.

In addition to the other powers given and assigned to the
commissioner in this chapter, where a heavy snow fall situation
exists, the commissioner shall authorize the use of state road
commission snow plows or other snow removal vehicles to provide snow removal service at school bus turn around areas in any of the
counties in this state.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to
require the Commissioner
of Highways to provide equipment for snow removal in school bus
turn around areas in the various counties of the state.
